The production process of puffed fish feed mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: Firstly, select suitable raw materials for preparation. The selection of raw materials has a significant impact on the quality and effectiveness of the final product.
Mixing: Mix the prepared raw materials to ensure that all components are evenly mixed.
Transport: Transport the mixed material to the extruder.
Squeezing and puffing: After the material enters the extruder, the puffing process is completed through the action of high temperature, high pressure, and mechanical shear. During the extrusion process, the material undergoes a series of physical and chemical changes, such as starch gelatinization, protein denaturation, etc. The temperature of the extruder is usually between 90-200 ℃, and the extrusion time is between 2-30 seconds.
Drying: The puffed material needs to be dried, usually reducing the moisture content to below 10% to enhance its floatability.
Screening: After drying, the material is screened to remove unqualified particles.
Spray oil and seasoning: As needed, oil can be sprayed onto the feed and seasoned to increase its attractiveness and nutritional value.
Packaging: Finally, package the processed feed for storage and transportation
